Laurie is an absolute pleasure to work with and has been incredibly helpful from beginning to end, going far beyond what I’d ever expect. Not only is she knowledgeable where it comes to all things about articles for obedience training, but she’s also beyond approachable and very clearly passionate about what she does. You are a gift to us newbies to the world of dog sports, Laurie! Thanks for the care and effort you put into what you do!

kspilos“I met Laurie almost fourteen years and three dogs ago when I signed up for her class instructing us in the fundamentals of the brand new AKC sport called Rally Obedience. Sonoma and I loved Laurie’s kind and encouraging demeanor – I think Laurie may have felt a little sorry for Sonoma having to put up with such a novice handler in her human – but we survived and learned thanks mostly to Laurie’s patience and expertise.  Not only that but we learned our lessons, entered trials, and succeeded!  Though it all – our wins and losses – Laurie  has always been there not only in the “classroom” lending a hand, but ringside being one of our best cheerleaders. She didn’t stop with Sonoma, but continued cheering when Fritz came along, and we began trialing.  Even now as Caelia begins her obedience competition career, so, too, is Laurie right there encouraging and helping us along.”

“I have been training with Laurie Burnam since 2006.  Her classes are fun, and she gives you plenty of personal help.  I have a new puppy now, Dustie, and we are in Laurie’s puppy class.  Dustie loves it, and the extra special attention she gets from Laurie!  Whenever a session has ended we just sign up for the next one!  Dustie is destined to become a therapy dog one day soon, and I have recommended many potential therapy dogs to take her classes, and they do.”

Dustie, just turned three.  After recovering from bilateral TPLO surgery she has earned her CGC, CGCA, Novice and Intermediate AKC Trick Title and her Novice AKC Therapy Dog Title.  I am proud of her and what she does visiting and making people happy.  Joanie Shugar

Laurie and Scusi have an awesome relationship inside and outside of every arena (performance or stock). Relationships and trust are “everything.” I love watching these two :). Steve watched the stock video this morning, he likes Ms. Scusi :). I’m so excited for her and you – you two are going to have so much fun together!  I’m in awe of all you have taught young Scusi thus far. I was bragging on her article training. Love that video! Scusi will be brilliant, Laurie:) You are inspiring to the rest of us to train, train, train:)

11863207_10206867145137920_8643642032187240526_nThank you Laurie for the last 10 years of Poochability Dog Training. Couldn’t have made it without you, teaching me how to read the Rally signs, while handling my Dals. It started I think back in 2006 with Josie and Fina getting their Excellent Rally title. Now Halo getting her Rally RAE (Advance Excellent title) plus her CDX and both Penny and Posy getting their Rally RN Novice titles.

We appreciate you!

Laura & Tug Ritter

I want to thank Laurie. With her great teaching abilities, patience, and encouragement Tug was able to get his Rally Novice title. Tug did it in 3 out of 4 shows and the last show, where Tug got his 3rd leg, was considered by all to be a very difficult show to attempt to get a leg. Laurie also helped me on what to look for and what to do at a show which was a life saver. Tug and I had so much fun at her classes that Tug looked at it as a fun time with great rewards (food and phrase). Thanks so much Laurie, without you this would not have happened!!!!! –                                                        Laura & Tug Ritter

Some of Laurie Burnam ‘s winning students from both her Ventura and VHOC classes, at the July 8, 9, 10, 2016 Summerfest Obedience and Rally trials in Camarillo.

So proud of all my students getting out there and showing. I had 12 students and 14 dogs, if I counted correctly, and they all did a wonderful job both in obedience and rally, getting Q’s, titles, placement ribbons you name it. Sorry for the ones who did not make it to this photo, perhaps we can photoshop you in later. Continued training and more successes coming. Thank you all and proud of ya!

Leslie Selfridgewe couldn’t have done it without you. Your classes over the many years have have been vital to our learning, training smarter-not harder & we’ve just had so much fun & a sense of accomplishment every time. Your students are the best & have enjoyed their enthusiasm for the sport.

Nancy J. Lewis It was so fun having you there. Thanks for staying to watch all of us.

Many thanks for the support and advice this weekend, it really helped both of us a lot. Linda Zimmerman and Angel, Golden Retriever
